Mexico

México es uno de los últimos lugares mágicos en el mundo, como dijo Pablo Neruda. Verás que es verdad cuando vayas a Mexico a conocer el hermoso país, su gente y su cultura. Nathaniel ha estado en México muchas veces, y en el año 2006 recibió una beca para poder conocer el país y los hogares de familias que habían migrado de los Estados Unidos Mexicanos a los Estados Unidos de América.

La realidad de esa migración es increíble; familias se van de sus hogares, dejando atrás sus familias y todo lo que conocen, para comenzar de cero en otro país, otra cultura. Los admiramos mucho. Muchos de nuestros antepasados hicieron lo mismo. Pasan por muchas dificultades para poder salir adelante.

Mexico is one of the last magical places in the world, as Pablo Neruda said. You’ll see that it’s true when you go to Mexico to get to know the beautiful country, its people and its culture. Nathaniel has been in Mexico many times, and in the year 2006 he received a grant to be able to go to the country and get to know it and the homes of families that had emigrated from the United Mexican States (Mexico’s official name) to the United States of America.

The reality of that emigration is incredible; families leave their homes, leaving behind their relatives and everything they know, to start from scratch in another country, another culture. We admire them very much. Many of our ancestors did the same thing. They go through many difficulties in order to get ahead
