Haciendo el Mezcal; Making Mezcal

El mezcal es una bebida alcohólica hecha del cactus conocido como el agave. Hay diferentes tipos de mezcal, y el tequila es uno. El caballo en las fotos con Juan hace que la rueda de vueltas, exprimiendo el jugo de lo que se conoce como la piña, o el corazón del agave después de que se le hayan quitado las hojas.

Mezcal is an alcoholic drink made from the agave cactus. There are different types of mezcal, and tequila is one of them. The horse in the photos with Juan makes the wheel go round and round, squeezing the juice out of what is referred to as the pineapple, or the heart of the agave cactus once all of the leaves have been removed.
